Thing 8

I love being able to keep in touch with others. The internet is a great way of doing so. I can be "facebooked" by using my gmail.. Look to see my psudonym.. its a hoot.

Instant messaging is a tool that would definitely be handy to have here at the Library. It is wonderful to be able to chat/talk without having to be so noisy. Here at Bartram we have the circ. desk and the reference desk at two different ends of the building. It would be nice to be able to ask a question without having to either dial the extention or walk back and forth between the two work stations.

Thing 7

I love being able to create, create, create. Lots of fun. It is wonderful having such great co-workers who make the whole experience that more enjoyable.
We can use Big Huge Labs here at the library. This week is volunteer appreciation week and it would be wonderful to create such name tags like the one I made for myself. I can see this as a really useful tool.

Thing 5

Life happens and before I Knew I was far behind on my 23 Things. After having a few technical difficulties I finally figured out how to insert a photo. Cool. Here is a picture of My cousin Kayla. I can't believe how fast she has grown. Kayla will be 3 in July. Photo taken by Jackie Kirk.

Thing 4

Learning about RSS has been really interesting. I like the idea that I do not have to go all over the place in order to talk to others, who share some of the same interests that I have. Look forward to learning new ideas and projects that will help me become even more creative.

Thing 3

After all the trouble I have been having I finally got on to do #3. After taking a look at Technorati and other blog search engines by Google, I have found hands down Technorati wins. It is easier to use and more precise in its accuracy of things. Technorati gave me the better options where as the other search engines only gave me on or two options before giving me something not related to the topic of choice.
